Internally, Alan has always been the best producer for DM and then a fresh touch from a new collaborative producer with every new record. This would've been perfect bringing him back. Can you imagine what he would do with some Ultra, Exciter and Playing the Angel Songs. You would shit yourself! He's the Dali of sound. If it can't be him, why Hillier again. Rather bring back Flood if you want repeats. I'd love DM to work with Trevor Horne or Tim Palmer (Tears for Fears, The Mission). Tim Palmer would produce Christian's drums awesomely, woven with electronic beats very powerfully...I miss that quintessential feel that was present in Black Celebration, Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion. It was indescribably horny, mysterious, dark, sexy all those things. Mart's songs, Al's sound, Dave's voice...This and the release of a World Violation Tour DVD will be sssssoooooo amazing! I don't believe there's not enough quality footage and audio from that tour. I just watch that KALEID intro wit the ROSE curtains and I think:" If the 'Rush' opening of the exotic tour in Johannesburg almost made me pass out with euphoria, waht was World Violation like???!!

Ben Hillier: well, I guess it is all right... but millions miles away from Alan Wilder awesome work. Ben Hillier does the job, but he misses something subtle about the band: Its darkness and strangeness.

Remember Black Celebration and Violator ?!

Ben Hillier won't come close to such great records.

Aaron, i went through my article and did some changes to make things clearer.
Let me know about it.
To put it straight: I Think Alan is needed as a depeche mode member, even though he is not part of depeche mode anymore.
